Cruise the Danube on a custom-built boat built in 2013. Our unique cruise boat is unique in both technical quality and appearance, being a brand new boat, a fresh sight on the Danube. Sit back, relax and enjoy the magnificent panorama of Budapest.

The boat starts from Elisabeth Bridge, from there it goes north up the Danube to Margaret Bridge and then turns back towards Rákóczi Bridge. The departure and arrival points are the same.

Directions:

Útvonal

Take-off location:
1051 Budapest, Jane Haining Rakpart, Dock 11.

Main bridges crossed during the cruise:

  • Elisabeth Bridge: from under which the tour starts. While waiting for the departure, it is also worth looking around, as the first special attraction, the St. Gellért Monument, is just across the road, and it is worth a walk after you return.
  • The Széchenyi Chain Bridge: monumental and unique in its kind, it was the first stone structure to link Buda and Pest, ushering in a new era in the city’s history, when fundamental changes were taking place across the country.
  • Margaret Bridge: less than 20 years after the construction of the first bridge, the city’s second linking structure has been completed.
  • Liberty Bridge: the popularity of the earlier bridges changed the structure of the city and when the revenue from bridge tolls exceeded a certain amount, the next bridge was built at the foot of Gellért Hill to meet the demand.
  • Petőfi Bridge: the bridge you can still see today was rebuilt after 1950, as the original structure was blown up by fleeing German soldiers during the Second World War.
  • Rákóczi Bridge: the southernmost bridge in Budapest at present, built for a planned (never to be realised) world exhibition in the capital. It was a huge help in relieving the load on the Petőfi Bridge.

Other sights to visit during the cruise:

  • Buda Castle District: together with the Castle Garden Bazaar, the castle is the most magnificent and most impressive sight of the Buda Hills, offering breathtaking views from both the Pest side and the middle of the Danube, of course.
  • Parliament: one of the third largest and most beautiful parliament buildings in the world, the Parliament is one of the symbols of Budapest, which is an impressive sight even from Batthyány Square, but its true face can be seen when you see its detailed construction from close up, sailing on the water. The perfect photo subject for picture lovers.
  • Gellért Hill: rising up from the foot of the Elisabeth Bridge, this hill is a real tourist attraction, with its size and panoramic views of the whole city. By day, at dusk and in the evening lights, the city has a magical atmosphere from above.

Join us for an unforgettable sightseeing experience as you smell the city scents wafting around you in the fresh breeze, the spray of water bubbling up and wish the boat would never dock again, but keep on floating all the way to the sea. This is exactly the experience of a pleasant boat trip.

Explore the city’s smallest details by day, enjoy the sunset atmosphere or be enchanted by the night skyline.
